Bombs kill dozens across Iraq after mosque shooting

Bombings in Baghdad and the northern city of Kirkuk killed at least 42 people in Iraq that appeared to be revenge for an assault on a Sunni mosque that has deepened sectarian conflict.
A bombs also exploded in the northern city of Arbil on Saturday, three bombs went off in a crowded commercial district, killing 31 people and wounding dozens, Kirkuk deputy police chief Tarhan Abdel-Rahman said.
Arbil , the capital of the semi-autonomous Kurdish region has enjoyed.
In Baghdad, a suicide bomber had earlier driven an explosives-laden car into the gate of the intelligence headquarters in Karrada district, killing six civilians and five security personnel, a police officer said
The attacks came after parliament speaker Salim al-Jabouri said that a committee of security officials and lawmakers were probing Friday's attack against a village mosque in Diyala province, northeast of the capital, which killed more than 60 people. The results of the investigation are expected in two days' time.
Iraq's newly appointed prime minister, moderate Shia Haider al-Abadi has also condemned the attack.
"I strongly condemn the killing of civilians and worshippers in Diyala province and I call on the citizens to reject these attempts by the enemies of Iraq to exploit the incident in order to stir up strife between the sons of the same homeland," he said.
The attack on the Musab bin Omair Mosque in the village of Imam Wais in Diyala province began with a suicide bombing near its entrance during Friday prayers, followed by a raid by gunmen who stormed the building, opening fire on worshippers, security officials said.
