What we know about Islamic State group

The Sunni extremist group, known as «Islamic State », the most dangerous terrorist organizations that threaten a large number of States now days , and the United States and its allies in Middle East seeking to fight the group .

1-The group was established in 2004  by Jordanian Abu Musab al-Zarqawi  and was namded  «Tawhid and Jihad group» belonging to al-Qaida and represented it in Iraq to fight against American army, The group  has recruit thousands of  Iraqi youth who seeks get rid  from U.S. occupation to their country.

2-  The group became «Islamic group in Iraq» by end of 2006, after the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi,and was announced as the military organization includes the fundamentalist organizations and formations deployed on the territory of Iraq, their new leader is Abu Omar al-Baghdadi.

3 Abu Omar al-Baghdadi was killed in April 2010 after that  Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi became the leader of the organization,  al-Baghdadi work on expanding terrorist actions (as storming the central bank, the Ministry of Justice, and the prison of  Abu Ghraib).

4.  Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, via  voice message broadcast  on 9 April 2013  by Islamic Shemoukh broadcasting ,announced  the merger with al -Nusra  Front group which was formed in 2011, led by Abu Mohammed Joulani, with the Islamic State in Iraq  «ISISL» . The group is thought to be responsible for the deaths of thousands of Iraqi civilians as well as members of the Iraqi government  , the ISIL positions itself as a Sunni Muslim vanguard against what it sees as domination by Shiite Muslims and Western governments.

5. There are 6 leaders are the most important at Sunni extremist group, they are ,Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Ayman al-Iraqi , Abu hamd Alwani, Abu abd el arahmin Albiloa, Haji Bakr, Abu Fatma Algehich.

  6- TheTop Four leaders in the group including Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have served in the army of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, the American forces have  captured them before , two of them were placed in detention «Boca» a US detention in the city of Umm Qasr in Iraq, and the others did not specify the place of arrest .

How the group fund itself

7 - Al-Qaeda splinter group , richest terrorist organization in history, as described by the British newspaper «Daily Telegraph», it's budgets exceeding 1.2 billion pounds, being grow in the oil-rich area.

8 -  Islamic State  looted 500 billion Iraqi dinarsthe equivalent of $429m from Mosul’s central bank during al-Qaeda splinter group in Iraq seized control of the the big northern city on Jun 10, 2014 , despite Iraqi government  denies theft incident, according to «Daily Telegraph».

9.- The jihadist controlled on five oil fields which get 1.8 million pounds  daily from smuggling oil  across the border into Turkey and Iran, also the group dominated agricultural land, which produces 40% of the wheat, sell to domestic market after control of western Iraq, according to  «Daily Telegraph» report  .

10. Islamic State receiveing private donations from supporters in the Gulf states, and there are beliefs that Sunni extremist group also  get funds through blackmail by the kidnapping of the hostages and demand a ransom, according to «Daily Telegraph».

Committing war crimes

 11-  last July more than 6,000 fighters have joined Sunni extremist group«Islamic State » in Syria, to exceed the number of member to 50 thousand militants in Syria , according to statistics of the Syrian Observatory.

12.  Sunni militants group recruited  a lot of kids in Mosul under the age of 15 years to carry out terrorist operations and use them as human shields and assault, according to «Human Rights Watch» organization report .

13 -Forming first battalion from women namded as « Khansa battalion  », and women wearing  a long black dress, and roam the streets of  Raqqa city, Syria  checks women before they entered  the street of the city  .

14 Nearly 81 civilian were victims of the massacre carried out last August  by Sunni militants in the village of Kojo, mostly Yazidi, , where dozens of men were executed, according to Hoshyar Zebari, the former foreign minister, told «AFP».

15 The  Islamic State group,distribute 300 girls and women from Yezidis minority, who abducted in Iraq several weeks ago, as «slaves from the spoils of war with the infidels», as they have sold other women to group fighter thousand dollars per female, according to reports of the Syrian Observatory for Human rights.

16-  The Sunni militants group has killed at least 3473 people including children and  women , the majority of them Syrians  since its declaration asIslamic State in Iraq and the Levant on April 9, 2013,according to the report of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, and distribution as follows:

17 The extremist group published photographs of victims who behead and representing them as they are «apostates» , «infidels» and « West Agents» .

18 The jihadist have used  cluster munitions in period from  on July 12 to August 14,  at least in one location in Syria, according «Human Rights Watch« organization report   issued Monday

19.  ARD, the German T.V channel revealed that there are  training camp for extremist militants southern Turkey, near the city of Gaziantep, is a reception center for recruits before being transferred to Syria and Iraq.

20.  The American  Corporation  RAND has  written a report to the Pentagon consists of 87 pages, explaining the rising  of terrorist groups influence in the Middle East, and the danger of jihadist  growing in Syria, and demanding U.S. to intervene.

21 -  The Islamic State extremist group interested in acquiring nuclear-weapons technology, as militants on June 11 have grabbed 88 pounds of uranium compounds from a Mosul University science lab. The uranium had been kept at Mosul University and was intended for scientific research purposes , according to the newspaper «Telegraph»
